Social Tribes

The aim of this three-person collaborative project was to create a collection that was a reflection of two different tribes. A tribe in this context is a social human group. I individually chose the tribe Mod which is a subculture that began in London in the late 50s and was placed in a group with two other people that had picked a very different tribe than I had. Our P x M collection is inspired by the Mod and Punk tribes. We aimed to design a collection that incorporated the essence of both of these very opposite tribes. The initial design and research process as well as the creation of the materiality swatches and final presentation was done collectively as a group. The area of work that I created completely by myself were all of the flats for every look.
